The brackets for the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball tournaments are set for tomorrow!The 7th grade will compete at Hondo High School, and the 8th grade will compete at Poteet High School.
Hondo will not have a concession stand. Spectators will be allowed to bring their own food and drinks.

At last night’s School Board meeting, the Cotulla ISD Board of Trustees recognized the Ramirez Burks Elementary UIL team for earning 1st place overall and for each student’s achievements! They also celebrated our Varsity Football team for an outstanding season as UIL 3A Division II Bi-District Champions and Area Finalists.

Monday, January 19th, NMS Band students traveled to Natalia HS to audition for the Region 11 ATSSB All-Region JH Band. Students who earned a spot in an All-Region Band will perform at the All-Region Concert in Somerset on February 21st. Here are the results:

When Tech Meets Art: Student Collaboration Spotlight
Students in Mr. Gonzalez’s Tech Apps and Principles of A/V classes are gearing up to record their video shorts this week. With support from Mr. Arnold’s art classes, they’ve been hard at work designing and building their sets. Second period is recreating a scene from The Polar Express, and today they began painting the inside of the train car to serve as the backdrop for their film. A special thank you to Mr. Arnold and his students for helping bring these projects to life with such impressive visual artistry.
