Three-Peat Champions: 6th Grade Spirit Stays Strong!
NMS wrapped up one final pep rally filled with unbeatable school spirit. Students brought their energy through games, cheers, a student-teacher dance-off, and the legendary battle cry competition. The 6th graders claimed their third straight spirit stick victory, proving their dominance once again. On the field, the 7th graders fell in a hard-fought battle against Dilley, while the 8th graders dominated from start to finish in their win over the Pups.
Ramirez-Burks Elementary would like to send a HUGE THANK YOU SHOUTOUT to our NMS cheerleaders for coming to RBE morning drop off these past several Thursdays. Our students loved greeting them each morning. You could feel the spirit because at RBE and NMS, We Are the Place to Be!!!!

Congratulations to the 6th grade class for showing who has the most spirit at NMS. They came ready to win!
Congrats to Bryan Ramirez for winning the game and 3 boxes of pizza courtesy of our local Pizza Hut.
Great job to the cheerleaders, band, volleyball and football players and everyone who showed up and showed out!

GeoForce Presentation
8th grade students had the opportunity to hear from Outreach Coordinator Eleanor Cote, about the GeoFORCE Texas Program, a youth education outreach initiative that inspires students across Texas to explore careers in STEM. Created by the Jackson School of Geosciences at The University of Texas at Austin, GeoFORCE aims to identify and develop the next generation of STEM leaders in the fields of energy, minerals, water, the environment, and natural hazard management.
Students enjoyed learning about the program and its exciting summer academy, asking thoughtful questions about how they can get involved and prepare for future opportunities in science and technology.

NMS Color Out Cancer Awareness Pep Rally
NMS hosted a Color Out Cancer Awareness Pep Rally to honor friends, family members, and loved ones who have battled, are currently fighting, or have lost their fight against cancer. 💜

NMS held its inaugural Career Day on Friday, October 10th, in the NMS Gymnasium. Professionals from a wide range of career fields visited campus to share their experiences, insights, and opportunities with students, inspiring them to explore different pathways for their future careers.

NMS Color Out Cancer Awareness Pep Rally
Thursday, October 16th @ 3 PM in the NMS Gym, let's come together and show our support for the fighters and survivors. Students may wear colors to honor a loved one affected by a specific type of cancer.
